Svg cutting files challlenge

I made this card for my parents. Unfortunately I did not get it to them in time for my Dad to see, but my Mom loved it!

I used
Chibi Kids as Winter Icons from SVG Cutting Files
Curly Label Die from Jaded Blossom (I printed out the sentiment)
Winter Face Assortment for Ginger girl & Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps
I added glitter glue (clear & red) as an accent on this cutie.
Card base was my own.
Thanks for looking! Hopefully I will have more to post soon. Going to have to get through the holidays first!

A Non Crafty Post

I have not been around much & that is because we have had a very rough couple of months at our house. My Grandmother died October 13 but she was 96 and was ready to go so as hard as it was we were all ready for it.

11 days after her death my Dad had a heart attack. He would be in & out of the hospital for the next 2 month.  He entered the hospital for the last time on Nov. 22, one day after his 64th birthday. He spent 3 weeks at the Heart Hospital, but eventually his heart could not take it & he died exactly 2 months after Grandmother on December 13. He was amazingly strong. He had to be shocked around 80 times in his 3 weeks in the hospital. Most were external but he did get an internal pacemaker/defibrillator placed 1 week before he died. He was so used to the shocks that at one point he started yelling CLEAR before the shock happened. The Doctors & Nurses, who were amazing by the way, were amazed that through all this he kept his sense of humor.  The Friday he died we were actually getting ready for him to go to rehab so he could get home.  We thought he had turned the corner.

My Dad & I were extremely close. He was my go to for everything. I will miss him greatly.

Now I guess it's time to get back to some crafting therapy. I am not really in the Christmas mood but I did get a couple of things done for the challenges at Jaded Blossom & SVG Cutting files before he died that I hope to get posted today!

This is my Dad, Papa to the kids, my Mom, my daughter & son on my son's 1st birthday last year.

This one uses:

Mini tag dies & Moose Munchies (was free with purchase in Nov) stamp from Jaded Blossom
I also used my cuttlebug to emboss the swirls on the "snow"
I did a print and cut on all the backgrounds, moose & tree with my Silhouette Cameo.

This one uses:
Ornate card base from SVG Cutting Files
Santa Tree from the Silhouette Store
And I did a print & cut for the background with a gradient in my Silhouette Studio & adding an overlay of polka dots.

This one uses:
Ornate Card base from SVG Cutting Files

Again most everything was print & cut. I printed a blue rectangle & printed my sentiment on it to use the Mini tag die from JB.

I made this Reindeeer Names Subway art  to do a print and cut for the background.

That is all I have done for now! Thanks for checking them out!!

Jaded Blossom Nov Challenge

So I finally got another set of Jaded Blossom stamps! Of course they are not Thanksgiving themed but oh well! I love that you can find different ways to use the phrases other than the intended theme!
I made a little treat bag filled with some hot chocolate & Ghirardelli Dark & Mint Squares! Yummy!
I cut everything with my Silhouette Cameo & threaded the thought bubble on a pipe cleaner.

I used:

Halloween Treats!

I made a little goodie bag for my daughter's class. I was going to do all of them with the paper filling but decided the teacher may not like the mess they will make! I saw these kids rip into birthday treats I know paper would have been all over the classroom! I did make the teachers with the paper though!

I used:
Explosive Scientist from SVG Cutting Files (I made him a print & cut for easier assembly!)
Science Matters Stamps along with the matching Science Candies stamps from Jaded Blossom
Scalloped tag from Tags & Backgrounds from Miss Kates Cuttables
Polka dot background is from the Silhouette store #48587 By Digital Pink Ink

SVG Cutting Files Challenge

I just love doing these challenges! It makes me think outside the box! This months challenge over at SVG Cutting Files is a gift. We are going to my Aunt & Uncle's new house for Thanksgiving this year so I wanted to take a little something with us to thank them! I decided to make a paper flower arrangement for them to use on the table!

I used:
Turkey Treat Box & Give Thanks tag- this was a free gift this week so I don't have a link to it! I will update it when  I see it in the store! (I added a little tab so it would thread onto the flower stem) from SVG Cutting Files
3d Flower by Lori Whitlock that I got from the Silhouette Online Store (#41601)
I used a lot of digital papers & did a print & cut on the Turkey & flowers. I don't know how long I have had most of these in my stash so I have no idea if these are even available anymore!
Orange & Yellow Papers by Shabby Princess- French Country Side
Brown Paper by Tracy Ann Digital Art (TADA)- Saturday
Red I must have forgotten to write down & my hard drive is  giving me fits so I can't find it right now!
Green Paper by Michelle Godin- Marilla
Blue paper by Emily Merritt- LDD Color Matters
Chevron Paper by Lettering Delights- Mix & Match Paper Pack

Now I think I may just need one for my mantle! The Turkey is just so adorable!! Thanks for looking!
